It's a simple story. Back in the late nineties, Brian, Peter, and Thai were tired of being ribbed for carrying their gadgets in hand bags. The torment reached a boiling point one night when Thai was called a "pursey" at a party. So they got together to design their own gadget bags which were well received and highly complimented on the social circuit. Other guys asked where they could get one and women expressed interest in buying one for their boyfriends and husbands. Thus MAN-n-BAG emerged, dedicated to making bags for men - and men only. In the News "Rise of the man-bag" (July 2007): Easier Finance (UK) "Hey, guys, grow a spine" (December 2006): Tom Purcell (Pittsburgh Tribune-Review) MAN-n-BAG comment: From the article -- "Look, women are different from us. They carry purses. We don't." Yes, that's exactly the point. And the laws of physics dictate that no matter how hard you try, you can't fit your cell phone, PDA, and other gadgets into a fat, worn wallet. "Dress code: Bags of masculinity" (October 2006): New Statesman (UK) MAN-n-BAG comment: Gosh, can't a small company get any respect and attention in this world? We were out leading the charge long before the likes of Muji, Prada, Cargo and Circa. "Manbag.com story by Jessie Kershaw" (August 2006): WTOP Radio 103.5 FM (Washington, DC)
